ETH Medal Award 2008
Six young scientists of our Department recently received the ETH Medal Award for their outstanding PhD. theses.
We congratulate all of them and wish them all the best for their future career.
Prof. Batlogg wishes also to thank the members of the D-PHYS Award Committee for their engagement and great work in selecting and evaluating the candidates.
Opening Festivities of the HIT Building
On October 17, 2008 the new HIT building at Hönggerberg campus was opened to the public and ETH researchers. See our photo report for some nice pictures. ETH Life has an article too.
From the Department of Physics the student labs (Anfängerpraktikum and Vorgerücktenpraktikum), the physics library and the institutes for Astronomy and Theoretical Physics have moved their offices to the new building.
